Tadweer to release future PPP investiment plans at Ecowaste Exibition in Abu Dhabi

Very enlightening session took place last Jan 16th at the Ecowaste Exhibition and Forum within the framework of Abu Dhabi WFES 2020, where future plans of Investment opportunities in the Waste Sector have been unveiled, with substantial recourse of private capital and expertise.

The conference, chaired by Eng Abdul Mohsin Al Katheeri, Head of Investors Support Working Group at Tadweer – Abu Dhabi CWM and participated by Tadweer top representatives, shed light on the development and implementation of sustainable and integrated programs that contribute to the Emirate’s overall waste generation in line with Abu Dhabi Environment Vision 2030.

PMF, based on its expertise in Waste PPP concessions, is ready to support industrial players, private operators and investment companies bidding for DBFO initiatives in recycling, treating and disposing waste facilities proposed to the market by Tadweer.

PMF to set KPIs for the first PPP Custodial Services Project in Italy

PMF has been selected by the Italian Autonomous Province of Bolzano (PAB) for setting up the contractual list of Key Performance Indicators and designing Penalty System in light of PPP Custodial Services Project awarding.

Bolzano PPP Prison, a 18-year concession contract for designing, constructing and operating a 220 inmates facility, is the first project of this kind being awarded in Italy under PPP arrangement, and sets out a landmark example for the others to come in the highly sensitive Custodial Services sector.

PMF has been hired by PAB as part of the legal, financial and technical team entrusted with assisting PAB in drawing tender documents, providing support during bid, throughout negotiation with Preferred Bidder until concession awarding.

PMF has worked out a comprehensive performance measurement system consisting on a set of 120 different Operational Performance Assessment indicators grouped in 11 Services, varying from Building Maintenance to Catering, Laundry, Cleanup, Security and BIM software systems, to even Sporting and Recreational Activities for the inmates.

PMF designs urban waste management masterplan for Taranto

Taranto Municipality has awarded PMF the new urban waste management planning for the city.

Taranto, with a population of more than 200,000 residents, is one of the most challenging cities in southern Italy due to its complexity and mix between residential and industrial areas. Besides hosting an important commercial and military port, Taranto is the seat of ILVA factory, the largest European steel and iron foundry.

PMF will design the complete overhaul of household and commercial solid waste collection, treatment and disposal, giving large emphasis to refuse recycling through proper segregation at source and efficient downstream recycling.

Door-to-door system full implementation over the whole territory, combined with cutting-edge technology collection systems (ECP – Engineered Collection points) strategically located in the city will be the key answers to address the issues posed by the city.

PMF Technical Director participates as keynote speaker at the Third China-UAE Conference on Islamic Banking and Finance (CUCIBF 3), Shanghai November 7 – 8th, 2018

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University of Dubai has invited Alberto Germani, PMF Technical Director, as keynote speaker to address the PPP and Islamic Finance Panel at the Third China-UAE Conference on Islamic Banking and Finance (CUCIBF) held in Shanghai last November 7 – 8th. The Conference was organized by the Chinese Islamic Finance Club, jointly with UAE Ministry of Economy, Dubai Center for Islamic Banking and Finance and other prime Emirati and Chinese Organizations to discuss funding opportunities, challenges and socio-economic implications relative to the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Panel featured international experts and Islamic Finance scholars. Starting from reviewing positive experience of past Public Private Partnerships in transportation worldwide where Islamic Finance have been successfully employed, the Panel discussed how structuring selected sections of railway corridor as Islamic Finance assets backed PPPs can be instrumental for contributing to the successful delivery of the Belt and Road project as a whole.

PMF invited as keynote speaker at 2nd China UAE Conference on Islamic Finance

Alberto Germani, PMF Technical Director, will be attending as keynote speaker the 2nd China – UAE Conference on Islamic Banking and Finance, to be held in Shenzhen (China) on Sept. 10 & 11th 2017. Main theme picked for Conference second edition is Islamic Finance – Paving the Way for Belt and Road initiative.

The Conference is organized by Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University Dubai Center for Islamic Banking and Finance, Dubai Islamic Economy Development Center, Shenzhen Institute for Belt & Road Economic and Trade Strategy,  China Islamic Finance Club and ZhiShang Inter-culture Communication, in alignment with the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to establish Dubai as the Capital of Islamic Economy and in support the “Belt and Road” Initiative.

Capri PPP commercial multi-sporting complex tender officially released

International tender for Capri PPP commercial multi-sporting complex has been officially released on the market today by the Municipality of the Isle of Capri.

Interested participants in bidding for design, finance, construction, operation & management concession of the facility can log on Capri official website (http://www.cittadicapri.it) for infos and bid documents download. Proposals submission deadline is set for November 21, 2017.

Capri PPP commercial multi-sporting complex is given green light for bid by Municipal Council

On April 21st 2017 the Isle of Capri Municipal Council in Italy has unanimously approved the Capri PPP commercial and multi-sporting complex project, to be bid internationally through a PPP arrangement. Preliminary information notice to bid is expected to be released by first half of May 2017.

PMF has been proudly partnering with CONI Servizi, the Italian Olympic Committee Technical Board, in the preparation of Capri PPP commercial and multi-sporting complex concept design, feasibility study, full business case and tender legal documentation. CONI Servizi and PMF will advise Capri Municipality throughout tender process until awarding.

Project financing of sports facilities | Rome | 21 – 24 November 2016

PMF will be lecturing at the II° Edition of the high specialization course on the Development of sporting facilities, organized by LUISS Business School in partnership with CONI School of Sport and “Istituto per il Credito Sportivo”.

Classes will be held in Rome at the Olympic Training Center “Giulio Onesti” . The teaching modules were designed under the direction of a scientific committee made up of eminent professionals of the sport industry and infrastructure and composed by Fabio Bandirali, Ciuffetti Rossana, Alberto Germani, Francesco Romussi, Eliana Ventola and Alessandro Zattoni.

The lecture of Alberto Germani, Technical Director of PMF and Chairman of the Project Finance workshop within the course, will be: “The Public Private Partnership and Project Finance: definitions and characteristics”. Financial aspects of project finance.”

PMF signed cooperation agreement with Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A.

PMF and Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche SpA, the Italian worldwide leading industrial plant manufacturer, have signed a 5-year cooperation agreement for joint designing and development of wastewater and hazardous water treatment plants.

By virtue of the agreement PMF is now able to promote a series of flexible, innovative and revenue generating facilities suitable for MENA, Asian and African markets.
